By phone, you call will be received by one of the our 4 receptionists from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. (from Monday to Friday), and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Saturdays and Sundays). Outside these hours, we will be assisted by an emergency veterinarian who will put us in touch with a person responsible for the service to which we wish to refer the patient. From here we will only have to provide all the information needed to handle the case. When several services are involved at the same time, in the same case, it will be coordinated with each of the persons in charge.

If we send an E-mail, it is important to attach as much information as possible and to always leave a contact telephone number.

which communication and management protocol does the hospital follow?

We always call the companions once the patient is cared for and we make the decisions together. If it is a case taken during emergency hours, or we can not locate the companion at that time, we will inform about the case as soon as possible through an E-mail or by telephone.

The owners will be given a budget for the necessary scheduled tests, they must fill out the authorization to hospitalize the patient. The budget must be paid in full, at the time of admission, for any procedure that requires anesthesia, and if the patient requires hospitalization, the payment will be updated daily.

The Hospital offers a visiting hours schedule in the morning (from 12:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) and in the afternoon (from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.), outside these schedules, visits can be made to patients provided the people in charge of the case are notified in advance and these are adapted to their availability.

Every patient has a team of assigned veterinarians and assistants, as well as one or two persons in charge of the same; who are in charge of talking to the owners and to their sender veterinarian.
Every day the veterinary companion and the owners are kept informed, by telephone, of the state and the evolution of the patient.

The veterinarian will also be informed, by telephone, of the test results that very same day; and, a full report will be sent to him/her within the following 48 hours by E-mail. Whenever possible we will give 2 copies to the owner.

does the hospital have an ambulance service?

Valencia Sur has a free patient collection and delivery service for our collaborating centers, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday. Ambulance availability may vary according to the services already scheduled and the urgency of the same.

The service is integrated by an ambulance driver and a veterinarian. If monitoring, general anesthesia or oxygen therapy is required, 2 veterinarians will accompany the driver.

If monitoring, oxygen therapy or stabilization of the patient is required during the journey, the budget will be adapted according to the case with a minimum cost of 85€.

If a service is required outside these hours, it has a minimum additional cost of 60€.
